Digital Equity Navigator

Gloucester

Annual Leave: 25 days per annum plus bank holidays

GRCC is seeking a dynamic individual to join our ACORN Project team as a Digital Equity Navigator. This is an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact on digital equity at a grassroots level by supporting communities and Voluntary Sector organisations across Gloucestershire.

The Digital Equity Navigator will work closely with the Digital Equity Team Lead to develop and deliver digital solutions that address barriers to accessibility and build local capacity. You will play a key role in recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers, enabling them to provide peer-to-peer support that increases digital literacy and engagement in communities.

Working collaboratively, you will support the implementation of the ACORN Project’s grassroots approach to digital equity, helping to identify accessible technologies and solutions to meet community need. You will recruit, train, and empower volunteers, equipping them to deliver meaningful digital support within their communities. The role also involves facilitating workshops, outreach, and community events, whilst staying informed on emerging digital trends to ensure strategies remain relevant and effective.

This is a full-time post (36 hours per week) based at GRCC’s offices in Gloucester. We  operate a flexible working day and some home working is possible.

The post holder will be required to travel to meetings countywide and occasionally out of the county. Evening and weekend work may be required, for which equal time off in lieu is allowed.
