Community Engagement Volunteer - Fundraising

Do you enjoy talking to groups or individuals, about issues close to your heart?
Could you use your skills to support Allsorts, spreading the word within the local community about the great work the charity does?
Why do we need you?
Allsorts is a pioneering local charity that works with families with children who have disabilities or additional needs. Strongly rooted in the local community, we want to involve as many people as we can in building an inclusive Gloucestershire where people with disabilities and additional needs are included and able to contribute.
We’re growing all the time, with new families joining and new activities being developed.
Your role as a volunteer will help us to share more of what we do with families in
Gloucestershire.
How much time should you offer? When would you be needed? Where will you be
based?
You would need to volunteer for 4-6 hours on a quarterly basis to support our plans to reach out to the community at local events and through local groups, talking about Allsorts asking for support.
This role is based within Gloucestershire at a variety of venues appropriate to the event
being held.
What activities will you be involved in?
Presenting to local groups, e.g WI, Rotary, Students. You will be out and about in the community at Supermarkets/Farmer’s Markets/Hospitals and many more locations.

What are we looking for?
- Someone who is passionate about raising the profile of disabled children and young adults.
- Someone who has a confident outgoing personality and an organised approach
- Someone with previous experience of event organisation.
Due to the nature of this role volunteers will be required to complete a DBS form and provide referees.
