Production Engineer
Location: Gloucester
Salary: Competive DOE
Job type: Permanent, Full Time Monday – Friday 7am -4pm (Hydrid options available )
Hawk 3 Talent Solutions is seeking to recruit a Production Engineer for their client, a specialized manufacturer located in Gloucester.
Overview
The responsibilities will be overseeing manufacturing processes while ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety. This position demands a robust technical background, demonstrated project management skills, strong problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Person specification :
• Degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Production Engineer or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of Process capability measurement that drives improvement in safety, quality and cost.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D CAD software.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Project Management capability - Prince2 Foundation or equivalent
Responsibility for a Production Engineer
Design, implement, and optimize production processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement.
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing processes.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may arise during production.
Collaborate with Research and Innovation, Design Engineering, and AC teams to ensure the manufacturability of new products.
Conduct regular audits of production equipment to ensure adherence to processes and optimal performance.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards that support ISO standards for Safety and Environmental management.
Train and mentor production staff on best practices and newly introduced technologies.
Manage production schedules while coordinating with supply chain and planning teams.
