About The Role
Class 1 HGV Driver
Are you a reliable and motivated HGV driver? Cotteswold Dairy is looking for a Class 1 HGV Driver to join our Tewkesbury team, delivering high-quality dairy products to our customers and national depots. This role is perfect for those who enjoy night driving and early mornings, with support and training available for newly qualified drivers!
Summary
Working Shifts: Sunday PM - Saturday AM on Night Shifts
Hours: 48 hours, five shifts per week
Start Times: Most rounds commence between 2200 - 0300
What You'll Do
As a Class 1 Driver, you'll be responsible for:
- Safely operating HGV vehicles (Category CE) in compliance with UK driving laws.
- Delivering dairy products on multi-drop rounds, ensuring timely, accurate, and quality service.
- Building positive customer relationships as the face of our company.
- Following stock rotation and quality procedures.
- Problem-solving independently on the road and adapting to varying night shift patterns.
Working Hours
- 48 hours per week, on a rotating schedule across seven days.
- Shifts start between 22:00 and 03:00 and follow a "job + finish" structure, so you finish once your rounds are complete.
What We're Looking For
- A clean UK driving licence (Category CE or above) and a driver CPC card.
- Physical fitness for manual handling and a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude, attention to detail, and the flexibility for night shifts.
- Newly qualified drivers are welcome - well provide all the training and support you need!
