Vacancy – Delivery Driver
ESS Employment Ltd are recruiting a Delivery Driver to work with an established client.
Duties for the role:
• Loading the delivery vehicles whilst ensuring that the items correspond with details on the delivery note in line with loading procedures
• Take full responsibility for ensuring that the delivery vehicle is maintained and cleaned on a regular basis
• To ensure that all cheques, signatures, collections etc, are valid and correspond with the delivery note and any discrepancies are resolved whilst the driver is at the customers premises
• Responsibility of collecting and keeping correct money owed for cash customers
• When only part of a delivery is accepted the items returned must be clearly indicated on the delivery note, signed and dated by both driver and the customer
• Ensure the correct equipment is utilised when carrying heavy products in line with the manual handling procedures
• Communicate of any error / faulty products / accidents to the internal Customer Service department to ensure this is communicated to the end Customer, and re-order where necessary
• Completion of all relevant administration during the process of delivery
The successful candidate:
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• A good Team player who can work well within a team
• Flexible to assist and support other members of the team
• Self-motivated
• For the purposes of insurance, you need to be aged 21 or over to be accepted on the insurance to drive a Company vehicle
