Careers Lead

Hours: 25 hours per week, 40 weeks per annum (Term-time and INSET plus one additional week)

The Trustees of Ribston Hall High School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Careers Lead.
Working with the Senior Leadership team, to lead and manage the careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG) programme, this role is essential in supporting students to make informed decision about their future, whether that be further education, training or entering the workforce.
You will provide outstanding careers guidance and information on a wide breadth of career possibilities, providing independent, impartial and inspirational advice. Ensuring Ribston Hall meets the eight Gatsby benchmarks for good career advice, you will also develop and deliver careers workshop sessions for students and offer aftercare support and guidance following GCSE and A Level results, which will require you to attend on results days in August.
You will co-ordinate internal and external partners, to deliver career guidance and career events. Advising the Senior Leadership Team on policy, strategy and resources, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with CEIAG and will review and evaluate career provision to provide information for school development planning.
With an enthusiastic and self-motivated approach, you will demonstrate experience of working with young adults, providing bespoke individual careers support to students in the upper school. With excellent administrative and IT skills you will be flexible and adaptable to a dynamic work environment. With strong communication and networking skills, you will demonstrate empathy, active listening and problem-solving abilities. Handling sensitive situations with professionalism, you will be culturally sensitive and foster an inclusive environment.
The salary offered is based on National Joint Council for Government workers scale, with access to the Local Government Pension Scheme.
