Located on the outskirts of the rural market town of Newent; about 10 miles north-west of Gloucester city, and with magnificent 38-acre site and impressive sports facilities, Newent Community School and Sixth Form Centre are seeking to appoint a teacher of Maths with a proven track record. Newent Community School and Sixth Form Centre is an 11-18 comprehensive academy with c 1150 students currently on roll.

The successful candidate will support the Maths team by sharing and modelling the school’s vision and values in everyday work and practice. Those applicants with experience would be involved in developing and motivating staff, setting high expectations, contributing to rigorous and on-going self-evaluation and taking responsibility for leading specific areas/initiatives to secure further school wide improvements. Those new to the profession can expect a structured support for their development with internal and external CPD provision and mentoring through specific and specialised staff.
