About the Role
Building on the success of our highly regarded BSc (Hons) Sport Therapy, we are delighted to announce the launch of our MSc Sports Therapy (conversion), commencing in September 2025. This new role offers the opportunity to join an established and innovative sports therapy team, contributing to the delivery and enhancement of provision across both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The individual will:
- Aspire to ensure the continuous improvement of the student experience, teaching and learning excellence, and have clear appreciation of professional body application and impact in our sports therapy curriculum.
- Demonstrate impactful engagement with research or equivalent scholarly activity to ensure the development of a research-informed curriculum and the subsequent practice of sports therapy graduates.
- Engage in academic enhancement duties, including module leadership. As such, the successful candidate will have demonstrated a track record for supporting a high-quality student experience and outcomes.
Our academic Sports Therapy team have a strong relationship with the Hartpury Sports Academy and external agencies. As such, the successful applicant is expected to ensure that Sports Therapy students have access to excellent vocational experiences through the maintenance of existing links, and building of further partnerships.
About You
- You will be a qualified sports therapist, chartered physiotherapist or equivalent, possessing a relevant postgraduate qualification, and a record of working in industry
- You will have a higher education teaching qualification or professional recognition (e.g. FHEA/SFHEA or equivalent) or a commitment to complete one within one year
- Experience of delivering on a Society of Sports Therapists accredited programme is desirable
- You will also have a clear appreciation of the connectivity between theory and practice and the ability to foster industry partnerships to develop industry opportunities for our students
- You will be able to contribute across the wider department and demonstrate a flexible skill set.
