Help to improve outcomes for children and young people with SEND in Gloucestershire
At Gloucestershire, we are dedicated to fostering an inclusive education system that ensures support is provided at the right time, in the right place, and tailored to meet individual needs. As a local authority, our commitment lies in improving outcomes for children and young people. To meet this goal, we are expanding our capacity by creating additional roles within the Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) service to address local needs effectively.
Our EHCP service plays a crucial role in supporting children and young people who require additional assistance to achieve their short and long-term goals. We are currently recruiting for the following permanent positions:
- Lead Case Coordinators
- Deputy Lead Case Coordinators
- Case Coordinators
How you’ll make a difference
By joining our EHCP service, you will collaborate closely with education providers, while building strong, productive relationships across education, health, social care, as well as with young people and their families. Your work will directly contribute to improving outcomes and ensuring access to inclusive, appropriate education for all children and young people with SEND.
What we’re looking for
We are seeking individuals with excellent communication skills and a collaborative, creative approach to working with professionals, children, young people, and their families. You must have the ability to analyse information from various sources and develop plans that empower children and young people to reach their full potential. Empathy for the challenges faced by young people and their families is essential, alongside the competence to assess and review the needs of vulnerable children and young people.
Applicants should also bring relevant experience, knowledge, and a solid understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and its practical application.
