Solar PV Installation Manager
Gloucester

The Role
To manage our dedicated solar PV installers operating on sites from Gloucester to Cambridge, ensuring panel installations are completed to the high standard we expect. You’ll also oversee solar PV second fixes in the region.
Responsibilities
- Management of the PV installation teams, including recruitment, performance management and on-the-job guidance.
- Training team members in our installation methods and quality expectations and on new products as required.
- Ensuring high standards of health and safety are maintained by the PV installation teams at all times.
- Collaborating with our scheduling team as required to ensure our solar PV installations operate effectively and we maintain a productive, motivated workforce.
- Attending pre-start meetings.
- Providing on-site technical support when required.
- Conducting on-site quality audits.
Requirements
- Essential Experience
- Significant solar PV installation experience
- Experience in the electrical industry, including a good understanding of the wiring systems used in new homes
- Experienced line manager
Desirable Qualifications
- Fully qualified electrician (NVQ3)
- City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- SSSTS
- IOSH Managing Safely
Personal Attributes/Soft Skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, allowing the ability to form a good rapport with colleagues and customers through personal interactions and via email
Professional demeanour and good personal discipline
Strong organisational skills, including the ability to time manage and prioritise effectively
Ability to work well under pressure
Driven to maximise own productivity
Flexible attitude to working hours, including the willingness to make an early start or stay away from home overnight as required
