Apprentice Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Salary: £17,524.65 + Package (Increasing yearly within a set framework)
The first year of the apprenticeship program will involve living away Sunday to Thursday near our college provider in Birmingham. CHEP will fully fund accommodation and travel costs. Due to the college start time on Monday you will need to travel to the student accommodation on Sunday

So, what's the role about?

You will be trained within a multi-disciplined maintenance team within your four-year apprenticeship. During your training, you will experience all aspects of electrical and mechanical maintenance, including automation. You will also get to move across other service centres in the UK during the programme to ensure a well-balanced training experience.

Your development will be supported with a mentor and manager and will include:
• Completing a full apprenticeship programme.
• Follow all Health & Safety procedures.
• Maintain electrical, mechanical and automation equipment.
• Seek ways to improve all processes and procedures relating to maintenance.
• Develop excellent technical communication skills.
• Conversant in engineering maintenance theories and principles.
• Perform first-line routine mechanical and electrical maintenance, including removing and replacing components, cleaning, lubrication, inspection, and fault finding.
