Machine Shop and Engineering Labourer - ESS6501Y
Kingswood, Bristol
LOCATION: Kingswood, Bristol
START DATE: Immediate
PAY: £12.75 per hour
PERMANENT
WORKING HOURS: Monday to Thursday 0730 to 1630 hours, Friday 0730 to 1300 hours

VACANCY – MACHINE SHOP/ENGINEERING LABOURER
We are seeking a Machine Shop/Engineering labourer for an established engineering company in the Kingswood area.
Main duties
• Prepare parts ready for subcontract processes/activities i.e. grinding, fettling, or, polishing
• Deburring to a fine degree
• Assemble components from mechanical/engineering drawings
• Perform other non-machining activities where required
• Data entry on stores software system
• Work with managers and supervisors to implement the company’s policies and business objectives
• Make a positive contribution to maintaining a workplace that is healthy, safe, neat and tidy
Person Specification
• Engineering experience preferred
• Knowledge of mechanical assembly disciplines
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings
• Effective oral and written communication required
• Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
Experience & Qualifications
• Experience in assembly/engineering environment
• A full clean driving licence required
