Are you an experienced Financial Controller looking for a flexible, part-time role within a dynamic and growing property management company? We’re looking for a detail-oriented finance professional to join our team and play a key role in overseeing and enhancing their financial operations.
About the Role
As Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial functions of the business, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic insight. This is a part-time position based at their Cheltenham office, with a commitment of three days per week, however these hours can be flexible across days if easier for the right person.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Maintain and manage ledgers and financial systems
• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements
• Support the preparation of year-end statutory accounts, reports, and returns
• Manage cash flow and maintain bank accounts
• Conduct financial analysis to aid strategic decision-making
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards
• Liaise with external auditors and manage the annual audit process
• Develop and enforce robust financial controls and procedures
• Collaborate with Property Managers to ensure accurate coding, reconciliations, and reporting
• Supervise and support the Assistant Accountant
• Oversee payroll processing and ensure timely payments
Requirements
• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA preferred)
• Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within the real estate sector
• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with Xero is an advantage
