Opportunity for a Full Time Gardener/Soft Landscaper
Cheltenham
A career opportunity has become available at George-Stone Gardens. Having been established for over 10 years George-Stone holds garden/property maintenance contracts throughout the Cotswolds and has a number of dedicated gardening and landscaping teams. The company specialises in creating dream gardens for homeowners with a complete design, build and maintenance service delivered by in house teams.
Due to the continued success of the company, an opportunity has arisen for a new gardener to join our existing teams to carry out various soft landscaping/garden improvement projects and maintenance on a variety of properties, to George-Stone’s high standard. The company can offer excellent career progression opportunities within the field.
Suitable candidates will have either formal qualifications, knowledge or experience and a genuine interest in gardening and planting and will ideally have worked in maintenance or estate gardening for at least 2 years.
Experience and expertise would ideally include:
- Pruning and general plant care
- Weeding new and established herbaceous borders and knowing how to approach each.
- Mowing, strimming and cutting large hedges
- Turf Laying
- Installation of lawn/border edging
- Any types of soft landscaping such as basic fencing and sleeper work, planting up new borders, tree planting, gravel installations etc
Candidates should have a positive attitude towards their work and colleagues, be reliable, punctual, physically fit, and well presented. Applicants will ideally hold a full UK driving licence.
