Contract Manager - Ground Maintenance

My client, who are a family run business who specialise in creating and maintaining outdoor spaces within the community, have ambitious plans to grow the company further and are looking to add a Contract Manager to the Senior Management Team, to head up the Grounds Division. This is a fantastic opportunity where you will manage the Grounds and Trees teams, liaising with a wide range of clients, including local authorities, private developers and education providers.

What are the day-to-day responsibilities of the Contract Manager:

* Handling initial enquiries, arranging and attending Client Site Visits/Surveys
* Managing the project to ensure that it stays on budget and is completed within the allotted time frame
* Ensuring the client remains fully updated throughout the project
* Overseeing the recruitment and development of your team
* Supporting the directors to grow the department and wider business

Required Skills and Qualifications of the Contract Manager:

* Experience of working on similar projects would be advantageous, but finding the right person is more important
* First class communication skills, able to build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, clients and other third party stakeholders/contractors
* Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills
* The desire and ability to help grow the division and wider business through proactive business development and networking

Salary: £40k - 50k per year
