Deputy SENDCO job summary

Fairfield High School is looking to appointment a full time, permanent Deputy SENDCO to support the SENDCO in delivering outstanding outcomes for SEND pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

To support in ensuring that the learners at Fairfield High School are receiving the appropriate SEND support.

To assist in the completion of statutory documentation and returns.

To assist in the completing of referrals relevant to different professional bodies in relation to SEND.

To support the SENDCo in their role and provide additional leadership capacity within the SEND Department.

To lead and manage Year 7 transition

Candidates must have full QTS. They should also either have knowledge/experience of Access training arrangements or a willingness to learn. Candidates who have KS2 SEND experience would also be considered for this post. The successful candidate will teach for 27 hours per fortnight.
