Mental Health Support Worker

Cheltenham

Rethink Mental Illness are hiring a Mental Health Support Worker to join our inspiring and friendly team at Gloucestershire Supported Housing, Cheltenham.

Our Gloucestershire service offers independent, quality housing to tenants with mental health needs. We support people to achieve personal goals, offer emotional and practical support with day-to-day living, and help develop skills to live independently in the community in order to build a meaningful quality of life as defined by them.

Overview of the role purpose: 

Working with an allocation of tenants, you will support vulnerable individuals who experience mental ill health in promoting independence and empowering sustainment of tenancies.

You will be required to assess the needs and risks of tenants and work in a person centred and personalised manner in order to enable individuals to sustain their tenancy.

How You Will Make a Difference: As a Mental Health Recovery Worker, you will support individuals in regaining confidence and engaging in social and workplace activities. You'll work closely with service users to achieve their personal goals and access necessary support on their recovery journey.

Essential Experience and Skills:

It will be necessary to travel to our site in Stroud as well as Cheltenham, so it will be useful to be able to drive.

Salary: £22,004 per annum

Hours Per Week: Full-time – 35 hours
