Operational Lead for Continuing Healthcare CHC & Complex Health. - D9843-ICB-6022HB

Job summary

Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board are looking to recruit a highly motivated expert in complex health funding for individual purchasing of care and Integrated Commissioning to this dynamic and rewarding role. The post holder will take the operational lead for delivering complex health including Continuing Health Care CHC, Joint funding arrangements, S117 Mental health Act funding of care and other complex health funding pathways across Gloucestershire.

The post holder will work collaboratively with the Clinical Lead for CHC and the Head of Integrated Commissioning as part of the leadership team delivering a high quality, effective and efficient person-centred care for CHC and health funded individuals.

Main duties of the job

The post is responsible for providing professional expertise to the outcome of the business processes for CHC and individualised commissioning of care purchased by the ICB.

The post holder will define current processes, facilitate discussions and advise colleagues as to how best practice might be adopted in the definition of future processes around CHC and individual commissioning, document those processes as they are agreed and oversee their delivery.

The post holder will ensure the development of strong clinical governance processes including being responsible for ensuring ICB compliance with statutory requirements arising from Safeguarding Adults, Mental Capacity Act (MCA) and Deprivation of Liberty Standards (DOLS) for those in receipt of ICB commissioned services.

Work in collaboration to ensure positive working relationships with all stakeholders and partners involved in the delivery of CHC and Individual Commissioned care, to include NHS England, Local Authorities and providers of care, for example Acute Trusts, Community Trusts, Mental Health Trusts, Hospices and Care Homes.

To work closely with joint commissioners to ensure systems support the identification of providers who need support and/or guidance in implementing responsibilities in the car pathway.
