12 months fixed term contract

We now have an exciting opportunity for a 12 month fixed term contract to join the University as Head of Talent Management and Development.  As a key member of the HR Leadership team, you will play an essential role in progressing our people agenda, with a specific focus on evolving the strategic leadership of all aspects of the talent lifecycle, including but not limited to onboarding, development, career pathways, engagement, recognition and leadership and management development.

Managing a small team of People Development Advisors,you will translate the talent framework into action. After a successful 2023 and being nominated for 3 international WOW awards for our recognition scheme, we are now getting ready for the next 12 months and taking our people development offering to the next level.

Some key priorities for this role and the people development team will be:

-          To shape and implement a management and leadership development programme, which will require reviewing and working with external partners.

-          To develop competency frameworks and career pathways.

-          To Enhance our appraisal and performance process.

-          To continue to engage with employees through our rewards and recognition programme.

-          To embed a culture of ongoing feedback around engagement and other core priority areas.
