Job description
Are you an experienced HR professional who enjoys the transactional element of HR, but also likes to have involvement with more strategic activities?
Do you have experience of managing a team and achieving collaboration to deliver excellent customer service to stakeholders?
National Star is a special education needs organisation providing the opportunity for young people with disabilities to realise their potential as equal and active citizens in control of their lives. This sits at the heart of everything we do, from the personalised and world-class learning we provide via National Star College to training, specialist services and our work in the wider community. All of this is underpinned by both our passion to enrich people’s lives and by our moral and statutory responsibilities.
With more than 1,200 employees, National Star’s HR team plays a key role in the smooth running of our charity.
We’re looking for a proactive HR professional to lead our team of two HR Business Partners, one HR Advisor and an Employee Wellbeing Advisor.
You or your team will be the first port of call for managers needing support and guidance on a range of HR queries. Alongside this, you’ll be involved with projects to assist with the implementation of continuous improvement such as succession planning, employee engagement and implementation of our wellbeing strategy.
You’ll be someone with a good understanding of employment legislation, who has experience building strong working relationships with colleagues, and supporting and developing a team to meet objectives.
This role will be predominantly based at our Ullenwood campus, with a proportion of home working balanced with site work depending on organisational need.
