An opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Assistant HR Advisor role to work within our HR Department on a 12 month fixed term contract. The role will be responsible for assisting with generalist HR practices and supporting the HR Change, Planning and Transition Manager as well as the HR Business Partners and Advisors. The role will provide you with a wide range of experience within a HR team.
The successful candidate will need to have proven experience of working within a HR environment, be able to work quickly whilst paying attention to detail, be able to manage competing priorities and communicate confidently with a range of people.
If you are ready for this fast paced and rewarding role within our friendly and well established HR team, we would like to hear from you.
Notice for internal candidates: this role is advertised as a fixed-term contract. In the event that you successfully interview for this role, you will accept the role on either a secondment or fixed-term contract basis.
You will only be offered a secondment subject to your current Line Manager’s approval - please note that there is no guarantee that management will agree to the secondment and there is no obligation for them to do so. It is advisable to liaise with management to see if a secondment would be supported before submitting an application.

In the event that you have accrued two years’ continuous service when your contract ends, you may be eligible to be added to the redeployment register, however it is not guaranteed that we will be able to offer you a suitable alternative. When accepting the role on a fixed-term basis, you take the personal risk that your employment with the force may end at the end of the contract. More information regarding the redeployment register can be found here.

In this section, you are required to provide evidence with specific examples for each of the Essential criteria included under the Experience and Qualifications section of the Role Profile. For each of the criteria, please write a paragraph detailing how your experience, qualifications, skills and abilities meet the minimum criteria for the role. Applicants who do not provide this required evidence will unfortunately not be invited to interview. If you require help and support with your application, you can register your interest with Better Together - Gloucestershire Constabulary (tal.net)
