Divisional Information Manager, Band 7- Business Intelligence - C9318-24-1614

Job summary

Working as part of our multi-award winning Divisional Analytics Team, our Divisional Information Managers are responsible for leading teams of BI Analysts in transforming the hospital activity data we hold into intelligence and insight to facilitate planning and delivery of our acute services.

Over the past few years our BI team have worked to aid the trust in making critical decisions while supporting patient flow and quality of care during one of the most important and challenging times for healthcare. This included using advanced forecasting models to predict COVID admissions, creating real time operational dashboards, and gaining access to never before seen data flows. Gloucestershire Hospitals BI Team has gained national recognition, winning the Health Tech Newspaper Award for Best Use of Data 2020 and AphA's Analytical Team of the Year.

This is an exciting time to be a part of the GHFT BI team. We are moving forward fast with our Digital BI strategy and are currently implementing Tableau within the Trust, alongside these ambitious plans comes lots of opportunities for staff to develop personally and professionally. As a Trust we are determined to be at the forefront of change, using tools such as machine learning and predictive analytics in the next stages of our journey.

We are looking for a motivated individual who has an analytical mind set, a passion for improving healthcare, and strong leadership skills.

Main duties of the job

The position available is a Divisional Information Manager in the Medicine & Urgent Care Analytical Team. The team provides accurate, concise and clear information and analytics to the division to support its strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical capabilities, along with the ability to effectively communicate and present complex information to a range of different stakeholders. The post holder will have management responsibility for 3-4 analysts within the Business Intelligence team, helping to support their development. The postholder will need to be able to work under pressure, and manage conflicting priorities for the team.

It is an exciting time within the department with new developments including the introduction of Tableau, a new data warehouse, expansion of Population Health Management, and the continued implementation of a new EPR system. These developments will continue to make the team pivotal to the post-Covid landscape in Gloucestershire.
