Digital Marketing Executive

The Specialists Journey Group is a collection of some of the world’s finest niche tour operators made up of a number specialist brands, including Brightwater Holidays – the UK’s leading garden, scenic Scottish and special interest tour operator, Andante Travels – a leading provider of archaeological, cultural and historical holidays, and Dream Challenges a fundraising event service to UK charities.
We are looking to recruit a role within our Group marketing team (which is responsible for the marketing of Specialist Journeys Group brands, as well as those of the JG Travel Group) which will primarily support the Email CRM Lead in the management and delivery of email marketing & CRM as well as social media channels for the Specialist Journeys’ brands. This role will take ownership of delivering maximum value from our Email customer database, ensuring that customers are receiving emails relevant to them at the appropriate times as well as creating a great social media presence.
You’ll be joining a great team of marketing professionals who enjoy working together whilst delivering
exceptional results. We are looking for someone with experience of working within a digital or marketing environment. Although a good understanding of email marketing or other digital skills would be desirable, we are also happy to hear from you if you are a self-starter, able to work independently and as part of a team to get results, with a keen desire to engage and entice customer segments to purchase our holidays using digital marketing.
Specific accountabilities include:
- Planning email, web and social content in the marketing schedule in line with trading priorities in conjunction with the wider marketing team.
- Building and executing emails within brand guidelines incorporating any test scenarios where desired.
- Creating posts for social and monitoring responses (where required);
- Copy and content creation for email and social channels.
- Building marketing automation journeys designed to improve customer retention, acquisition and customer knowledge.
- Weekly reporting on all key metrics relating to Email and Social media activity.
- Writing copy where necessary (email and web landing pages).
- Working with the digital team and other teams internally to make sure the websites are functioning optimally, and all information is correct and up to date;
- Troubleshooting any issues internally that may crop up from time to time.
The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of email and social media and some experience of
working in a digital or marketing environment. Should be proficient in using Microsoft Office Excel. Any
experience of using analytics reporting tools (such as GA4), content management systems or email
systems would be a bonus.

We offer a flexible working environment and would expect the role-holder to attend the office a
minimum of 3 days per week.
