Online Games Developer - CMS Online Games Developer
Gloucester
We’re looking for a passionate developer to create cutting-edge browser-based slot game clients
using JavaScript/TypeScript within an OOP MVC framework.
You will upgrade and maintain libraries, collaborate with our graphic artist and product manager to
ideate new games, and implement animations using tools like GSAP and Pixi.js.
Additionally, diagnosing issues and ensuring a seamless gaming experience will be central to your
role.
You will also have the opportunity to pair program with a senior Online Games Developer as part of
your training, helping you work through blockers and accelerate your development process.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain browser-based slot games using JavaScript/TypeScript within an OOP MVC framework.
- Upgrade and maintain libraries to improve performance and introduce new features.
- Collaborate with the graphic artist and product manager to create new game concepts, effects, and bonus games.
- Create animations using GSAP and Pixi.js and integrate assets efficiently.
- Ensure mobile responsiveness and optimise games for cross-platform performance.
- Diagnose and resolve bugs proficiently, working closely with the QA team.
- Participate in pair programming with a senior Online Games Developer to overcome challenges and enhance your coding skills.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience with Git, managing build version numbers, and HTTP network requests.
- Solid understanding of OOP principles and mobile-responsive design.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Webpack, Pixi.js, Spine, WebGL, GSAP, Texture Packer, and Game Psychology.
