Reginald Gray is working with a long-standing client who is looking to appoint a Design Manager for a 40M prime residential project in the Cotswolds. This contractor has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality bespoke projects, particularly within the high-end residential sector. With a traditional approach and a commitment to excellence, they offer an opportunity to work on some of the most prestigious developments in the region.
Job Overview:
This role would suit a Design Manager with an architectural background, ideally experienced in delivering complex, high-value residential projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the design process from pre-construction through to project completion, ensuring smooth coordination between all stakeholders and maintaining the highest design and build standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the design process, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
- Work closely with architects, consultants, and contractors to deliver a high-quality project.
- Ensure compliance with planning regulations, building control, and conservation requirements.
- Identify and mitigate design risks, providing proactive solutions to challenges.
- Lead design meetings, ensuring smooth communication and coordination.
- Oversee technical reviews, clash detection, and drawing/specification coordination.
- Support site teams with design-related queries and ensure smooth project delivery.
Key Requirements:
- Preferably from an architectural background, with strong technical and design coordination experience.
- Proven track record working on high-end residential or complex bespoke projects.
- Strong understanding of UK building regulations, planning laws, and conservation principles.
- Ability to liaise with high-profile clients, designers, and consultants to maintain exceptional project standards.
- Experience delivering projects in the 20M+ range is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Qualifications & Opportunities:
- Degree or relevant qualification in Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.

Salary: £70,000 to £80,000 Annual + + Package
