General Assistant
Cheltenham
Reports to: General Manager
Salary: Starting salary circa £23k pa. Prospects for the right candidate to become a
prominent team member with bonus opportunities
Contract: Full time, permanent contract
Holidays: 20 days + public holidays
Full UK driving licence and a valid passport are desirable. Some International travel may be required.
Summary:
ATB Guitars is one of the leading sellers of high end vintage guitars in Europe. Due to a member of staff relocating we require a full time general assistant to help with the day to day running of the business, keep tabs on stock, helping with social media posts, assisting with shipping and preparing items for our website.
The job will be based at our recently expanded premises in Tivoli, Cheltenham but the successful candidate may be required to travel as we are currently searching for new business premises, this could be up to 50 miles South of Cheltenham so candidates between the Cheltenham to Bath area are also welcome to apply.
The ideal candidate should ideally have a strong natural organisational ability, have experience with spreadsheets and have a keen eye for detail.
He or she will be someone who can show initiative, multitask, work as part of a team, or independently as required
Key Responsibilities (training will be given where necessary):
- Day to day assistance to the General Manager and CEO
- Maintaining the environment in a good order
- Receiving deliveries and shipping orders out
- Keeping tabs on stock levels
- Entering receipts in to spreadsheet for financial reporting purpos
- Any other duties that may be required
Person Specification - Experience and skill
The most important thing you must possess is a passion for what you are doing. This is not a commission driven position and the ideal person is the type who can relate to people on a real level and possess the ability to communicate at all levels.
Essential criteria:
- Experience with Google Workspace
- Good people skills
- Keen to devote time and energy to growing the business as part of a team
- Good telephone manner
- Keen attention to detail
- Willingness to learn, develop and grow in the role
Desirable criteria:
- Some SLR photography skills although training will be given
- Previous office experienc
- Some Internet marketing experience
- Interest in guitars
