Camp Operations Manager:
Cheltenham, Gloucester, Bourton, Painswick
Starting part-time, one day a week or two half days, rising to two days a week towards Easter and summer holidays.
During the holidays when camp is running the role would be full time. 4 days a week.
Camp 4-2-11 is a dynamic and exciting family run children’s camp with locations in Cheltenham, Gloucester, Bourton and Painswick offering a range of engaging activities for kids during school holidays. From sports to creative arts and outdoor adventure, our mission is to create unforgettable experiences for children in a safe and supportive environment.
Due to the progression of Camp 4-2-11 we are looking to appoint a Camp Operations Manager to join our team to oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring the smooth running of the camp and providing excellent experiences for both children and parents.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Team Management:
- Lead the recruitment and ongoing management of camp staff, ensuring all team members are motivated and aligned with our values.
Camp Leadership:
- Planning, setup, and execution of all camp activities, ensuring smooth day-today operations during the camp periods.
Parent Liaison:
- Act as one of the main point of contact for parents, addressing inquiries, providing updates, and ensuring high levels of satisfaction and trust.
- Overseeing the running of all camp Settings during the holidays.
Programme and Business Development:
- Work closely with the camp director to develop new and exciting activities, ensuring a varied and enriching experience for campers of all ages.
Requirements:
Proven experience in camp operations, event management, or a similar leadership role.
Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with staff, parents, and children.
Passion for working with children and delivering top-quality experiences.
Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Experience with Microsoft products, excel & Word. Management of files on OneDrive
A commitment to health and safety regulations and safeguarding practices.
Flexibility to work during peak holiday periods.
Experience in a childcare or education setting.
First Aid certification or willingness to undertake.
