About the Role
At Hartpury we are committed to delivering teaching excellence and providing an environment where our people can flourish. Our campus will underpin an outstanding student experience both inside and outside the classroom. The Assistant Director of Campus Operations will be responsible for:
- Delivering a high-performing Facilities Management service, ensuring our buildings and critical infrastructure are functional and reliable.
- Leading an effective maintenance service to resolve issues and maintain business continuity.
- Managing soft FM services, including cleaning, portering, caretaking and transport.
- Overseeing commercial contract management for Waste, Pest Control, and student transport
- Driving sustainability, Health & Safety, and campus development to enhance the student experience.
- Collaborating with colleagues and student representatives to promote innovation and performance.
About You
You will be:
- An experienced leader with a proven track record of delivering efficient operational services in a complex environment.
- A strong communicator and team leader, fostering a culture of collective pride and shared goals.
- Collaborative and values-driven, working inclusively with stakeholders to provide a proactive service.
- Knowledgeable in Facilities Management, with expertise in Health & Safety legislation and Sustainability.
- Commercially and financially literate, capable of prioritising workloads, managing resources effectively, and ensuring value for money.
- Confident in presenting and providing assurance to the Hartpury Executive and Governors through effective reporting and risk management.
