Warehouse and Production Manager - MM647

Gloucester

Our excellent client in Gloucester is currently looking for an experienced Warehouse and Production Manager to join the team on a full time, permanent basis.

The Production Lead will be responsible for leading high performance in the department, ensuring that safety, quality, productivity and delivery targets are consistently met.  In this role you will be responsible for directly line managing the existing production team of 7, drive continuous improvement, solve complex operational issues and foster a culture of excellence.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate production teams to meet targets and schedules through proactive planning and problem-solving.
- Manage real-time adjustments to operations based on production needs, material availability, and team performance.
- Conduct performance appraisals develop team through mentoring and coaching.
- Approve team holiday entitlements while ensuring production coverage.
- Ensure clear communication across shifts with detailed handovers, including machine breakdowns and key information.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and reduce costs.
- Oversee resource allocation to maximize productivity, material utilisation and efficiency.
- Drive change initiatives and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Manage inventory levels, ensuring material availability and accurate stock in the ERP system
- Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams to troubleshoot/resolve complex production issues.
- Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures, risk assessments and safety requirements.
- Ensure strict compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements, addressing any deviations in real-time.
- Enforce health and safety protocols and ensure PPE is worn at all times.

Key Requirements:
- Management/supervisory experience.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills.
- Organisational skills.

Hours: Full time, shift pattern of 12 hour shifts 6:30am – 6:30pm, available upon request.

Salary: £39,963 per annum + benefits including:
