Stroud - Fulltime - Temp to Perm - Salary from £1 1.95 per hour

Due to growth our client is searching for a General Assistant to worm across their machine shop, special treatments and other adhoc duties. Are you experienced in a manufacturing environment ? Or seeking a hands-on role with growth ? Look no further.

The Role:

Cleaning and maintaining machines and tools.
Performing basic machine operations under supervision (e.g., deburring, polishing, or simple manual machining tasks).
Moving raw materials and finished components between workstations.
Assisting in organizing and maintaining material stock.
Assisting with dimensional checks using calipers , micrometers , and gauges.
Logging and tagging parts for traceability and inspection.
Ensuring the machine shop remains clean, organized, and safe.
Removing waste materials, swarf, or scrap.

The Person:

M otivated individual, looking to grow and develop
Team player with the ability to work using your own initiative.
Excellent attention to detail
Computer literate, good numeracy, and literacy skills.
Strong communicator
Desirable - Experience in production machining environment - Precision components , experience deburring, experience masking products.
