Salary: - NJC Grade C, Scale, Points 2-3, £12,055 - £12,255 actual salary per annum (£22,366 - £22,737 FTE)
Working Pattern: - Monday to Friday 10.00am - 14.15pm, Term Time only plus Inset days

Overview:
Catering assistants play an important part in the smooth and efficient running of the School Kitchen. The post holder will be expected to work in a flexible way to meet the needs of the school, combining planned and regular tasks with day-to-day needs and emergency responses.
The duties and responsibilities in this job description are not restrictive and the post holder may be required to undertake any other duties that may be required from time to time. Any such duties should not however substantially change the general character of the post.
Job Purpose:
- To support the catering manager in planning menus, following guidelines in nutrition and healthy eating
- To support with the smooth and efficient running of the school kitchen
- Developing relationships with food suppliers
- To maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety and hygiene and to work within the Health and Safety, Hygiene and COSHH Regulations
- To attend appropriate in-service training provided by the school
- To attend school team meetings
