Job Opportunity: Payroll Administrator (Temporary)
Location: Central Gloucestershire
Hourly Rate: £14.18 - £14.84
Contract Type: Temporary - Full-Time (6-months)
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen within a busy and dedicated Payroll and Conditions team. This full-time, temporary position plays a vital role in delivering a high-quality payroll service to both internal departments and a range of external clients.
Based in Gloucester, this role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and compliance are key. You will be responsible for processing payroll payments, handling queries via a dedicated helpline, and providing guidance on pay and employment conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and maintain accurate payroll records in accordance with statutory and contractual obligations.
- Manage employee queries related to pay, tax, and employment terms through a customer-focused helpline.
- Assist in the interpretation and application of employment terms and conditions.
- Prioritise and manage a diverse workload to meet strict monthly deadlines.
- Ensure payroll processing is compliant with relevant regulations and internal controls.
About You
- You have proven experience in payroll administration, with a solid understanding of payroll processes and regulations.
- You are highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail under pressure.
- You bring excellent communication and customer service skills, and can explain payroll and tax-related information clearly.
- You are technically competent and confident using payroll systems and standard office software.
