Payroll Administrator - 15 to 25 hours per week
Remote
Reports to: Pod Leader
Location: Remote - Must be based within an hour of Gloucestershire for monthly team face-to-face catchups.
Mission / Purpose
The Payroll Administrator’s role is a “Do It” role. Its purpose is to ensure the Bureau is delighting its customers through timely and accurate payroll processing, while also scope to support the Head of Partnerships with marketing administration.
You will work in a “pod” – A mini 3 person payroll team - to understand your pods portfolio of payrolls in detail and assume day-to-day running of payroll, working closely with the pod leader. You will be responsible for monitoring your own quality of work, feeding back any areas for client improvement to your pod leader and working with them to make continuous improvements for error free payroll. In addition, you will use your knowledge of the companies culture to assist with marketing the business from social copy, blog posts & emails.

Your role encompasses:
- Delivery – Supporting the Pod Manager with delivery of day-to-day payrolls
- Client & process improvements – The ability to feedback improvement ideas as you see the to your pod leader to enhance the YPM process and client experience.
- Marketing Support – Supporting the Head of Partnerships with marketing administrations e.g. social media posts, prospective client emails, meeting bookings & blog posting
Core Activities
- Supporting with the pod’s client payroll processing as directed by the pod manager.
- Answering the main phone line, dealing with queries and transferring as needed
- Onboarding new starters & monitoring the pods individual new starters inbox.
- Monitoring the pods individual Pensions inbox & auto-enrolment opt outs.
- Completing end of period pension administration
- Posting payroll journals to client’s accountancy software.
- Completing Pension Redeclaration of Compliance to the Pension Regulator
- New Client Payroll Migration Support
- Ensuring you always live up to YPM’s Core Values.
- Post month checks to ensure all work is completed.
- Supporting Pod manager with day-to-day admin inline with quarterly goals.
- Supporting Head of partnerships with Marketing Administration as required.
