FIXED TERM – PART TIME CLASS TEACHER (3 days per week Wednesday, Thursday and Friday)

Main Scale plus SEN allowance (UPS teacher applications considered)
Bettridge is a Special school for pupils with severe and complex learning difficulties ranging in age from 4 to 19 years.
We are seeking to appoint an experienced, dynamic and dedicated teacher for a small mixed age primary class of 8 pupils ranging from year 2 to year 6.
Pupils in this class have arrange of learning difficulties and all have some verbal communication. However, a range of communicative strategies is needed to support them. Some pupils have medical needs which are supported by the staff team and there are pupils who also require additional support to successfully manage their emotions.
The successful candidate will be able to work with flexibility, creativity and enthusiasm and will lead a dedicated class team in supporting pupils. Preference will be given to candidates with experience of working with children with autism or other complex social communication conditions.
This is a fixed term, part time contract for 1 year.
