Job share class teacher - Year 1 (maternity cover) Proportion of week: 3 days per week (Weds/Thurs/Fri) 0.66 FTE

Lakeside Primary School is a large and busy primary school in Up Hatherley. The Head Teacher seeks to appoint an outstanding, resilient and self-motivated professional to the post of part time Year 1 teacher to join our school team from November 2024. This is a maternity cover position, expected to be for the remainder of the 2024-25 academic year.

We are interested in hearing from candidates with proven track records of teaching in KS1. The school is an inspiring, rewarding and happy place – a true slice of society - with children and families who really give back when you put in. The successful candidate will understand the importance of the transitional journey from EYFS through to Year 2 and the role continuous provision plays in this transition, particularly for those children with special educational needs. They will be familiar with Essential Letters & Sounds as a scheme for delivering systematic synthetic phonics.
