We are looking for a new full-time class teacher for September due to promotion within our school team.
We want to employ a teacher who loves their job, someone who likes to have fun and work hard with our fabulous children but who can also achieve high quality learning outcomes and secure excellent progress for all.
This is a great opportunity for a motivated, friendly teacher to come and join us.
Our beautiful village school of 70 children plus an 8 place nursery is in the heart of Sheepscombe village where staff, parents and the community all work together to create a unique learning experience, allowing all children to flourish.
The successful candidate will join our skilled teaching team.
We welcome applications from all teachers, whether your preference is for teaching in KS1 or KS2, or if you are happy in either.
Our classes are mixed age – EYFS, Year 1 & 2 , Year 3 & 4 and Year 5 & 6.
If you have a particular preference for a Key Stage please let us know on your application.
You will work closely with staff across the school as we plan lots of things together.
The success of this was noted recently in our Ofsted report: ‘The school provides pupils with regular opportunities to work with older and younger children in the school, often as whole-school projects.
These activities successfully promote the family atmosphere that gives pupils a strong sense of belonging.’
The successful candidate will:
· Contribute to whole school thematic planning bringing great ideas which enable the National Curriculum and the
EYFS to be taught in a way that makes sense to the children of Sheepscombe School
· Be able to motivate all children to do their best
· Be able to scaffold learning effectively for children with SEND
· Capitalise on real life experiences to deliver high quality outcomes in all subjects
· Have a clear understanding of the National Curriculum, enabling the very best outcomes for our children.
· Show a willingness to being involved in our school community.
· Be keen to participate in CPD to improve your own practice
· Be committed to the continuing success of our school, following on from our recent Ofsted Inspection where inspectors noted ‘The school has high expectations for what all pupils can achieve.
Pupils respond well to this. Staff know pupils well and understand what interests and engages them.
The school makes good use of this knowledge to ensure lessons and extra-curricular opportunities are of interest to pupils. This helps the school get the best from pupils.’
