Digital Equity Team Lead
Gloucester
Hours: Full-time (fixed term – 2.5-year contract), 36 hours per week
Location: GRCC, Community House, 15 College Green, Gloucester GL1 2LZ
Annual Leave: 25 days per annum plus bank holidays

If the answer is yes, GRCC invites you to apply for an exciting opportunity as our Digital Equity Team Lead within the National Lottery-funded ACORN Project
We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our ACORN Project team, leading efforts to capture and embed lived experience at a strategic level across Gloucestershire. As the Digital Equity Team Lead, you will guide the development of peer-to-peer support models and work closely with communities and Voluntary Sector organisations to build local digital capacity and equity. This role requires someone who is both a strategic thinkers and hands-on leader, committed to ensuring digital solutions are accessible to all.
In this role, you will lead the ACORN Project, championing the use of lived experience to shape digital initiatives that meet the real need in community. You will manage the Digital Equity Navigator and other digital projects, ensuring a cohesive and outcomes- based approach. Developing and maintaining strategic partnerships with key stakeholders will be key, including working with VCSE organisations, public bodies, and community groups. Organising events and capturing community insights to inform
planning and development, you will ensure that digital services remain inclusive and responsive.
Furthermore, you will develop peer-to-peer support models to facilitate skills transfer within communities, strengthening local digital literacy. Promoting and implementing open-source technology solutions and advocating for accessible and cost- effective digital tools will also be central to fostering a culture of inclusivity and collaboration.
This is a full-time post (36 hours per week) based at GRCC’s offices in Gloucester. We operate a flexible working day and some home working is possible.
The post holder will be required to travel to meetings countywide and occasionally out of the county. Evening and weekend work may be required, for which equal time off in lieu is allowed.
