Job summary
This is an exciting time to join us in Gloucestershire where Children, Young People and Maternity Services are key priorities. This pivotal role will support system wide collaborative working to facilitate the delivery of multi-priority work streams identified specifically by the Learning Disabilities and Autism Clinical Programme Group and the Mental Health and Neurodivergence Programme Board.
The fundamental aim of these Programmes is to reduce the health inequalities of children and young people, improving their health and wellbeing and supporting them within the community preventing avoidable hospital admissions. The role will focus on workstream areas including, delivering recommendations from the Learning from lives and deaths (LeDeR) reviews of people with a Learning Disability and/or Autism, improving the uptake of Learning Disabilities and/or Autism Annual Health Checks and improving our needs led offer of support to neurodivergent children and young people in Gloucestershire.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a passionate individual who wants to make a real difference working collaboratively with education, health and care colleagues and coproducing improvements with children, young people, parents and carers, effecting transformation and change so that services and support are designed around the needs of families in local communities.
The postholder will have proven project management and organisation skills with the ability to develop positive relationships across the health, education and social care system. The postholder will need to have strong verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to work effectively with different stakeholders.
Our team works in a fast-paced environment and have a supportive, inclusive and can do problem solving approach. There are opportunities to develop in this role and work across a number of areas with families and colleagues, with a wide range of organisations.
