Quality Inspector

3 Month FTC - M-F Days, options for shift if preferred - Gloucester - Fulltime - £25-£35ph DOE

My client, an industry leader in composite solutions for a wide range of applications in a vast range of industries including aerospace, automotive and defence, are looking for a Quality Engineer/Experienced Quality Inspector to join their team on a fixed term basis, likely to be ongoing.

Responsibilities:

* Operations focussed, dealing with day-to-day quality issues and problem solving, on the shopfloor. Hands-on, won't be sat behind a desk.
* Identifying and diagnosing workmanship problems in Production processes using 5 why's or other, leading Root Cause Investigations.
* Work across company departments as required to support day to day quality management.
* Interface with management team where required.
* Completion of internal audits, Completion of supplier quality audits (when required)
* Support with concessions, MRB etc.
* Hands on support with inspection / laboratory when required
* Support onsite calibration activities

Person:

* Experienced Quality Engineer/Quality Inspector working within AS9100rev D, / ISO9001:2015 quality certified organisation.
* Knowledge of AS9102 FAIR requirements
* Ability to read and interrogate engineering drawings including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
* Experienced in use of conventional inspection equipment.
* Knowledge of use of CMM inspection equipment / Measuring arms / other inspection technologies.
* Experienced in 8D activities.
* Competent in use of Microsoft office
* Experienced with Composites - Desirable
