The Role
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive HR Assistant to support the HR Manager with the
delivery of efficient and compliant HR services across the organisation. The role involves recruitment
coordination, payroll and benefits administration, training facilitation, and general HR support.
Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Advertise job vacancies, manage applications, and arrange interviews.
- Assist in job offer administration, including compiling letters, employment contracts, and conducting reference checks.
- Prepare induction paperwork and system access.
HR Administration:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records in compliance with GDPR policies.
- Record and manage staff absences, ensuring completion of associated forms and compiling monthly reports for analysis.
- Assist with HR policy updates and ensure procedures are available on the intranet.
- Handle HR queries in the absence of the HR Manager.
Payroll & Benefits Administration:
- Assist in processing monthly payroll
- Issue necessary pension-related communications.
- Ensure staff are set up for company benefits, such as healthcare plans, life assurance, and long service awards.
Training Coordination:
- Book external training for staff as directed by the HR Manager.
- Coordinate resources and facilities for internal training sessions.
- Manage the training portal, ensuring staff complete required courses within timelines.
- Produce training reports as requested by the HR Manager or Directors.
Your Experience & Technical Ability
- Previous experience in HR administration or a similar role is preferable
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confident, proactive, team focussed,
- Flexible and adaptable to change whilst providing care and attention to help deliver the bestservice to our clients.
- IT proficient with experience of using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and casemanagement systems
