Kitchen Manager
Slimbridge

About The Role
As Kitchen Manager you will create, develop and manage an inspirational catering environment that consistently delivers a high standard of food that contributes to an excellent visitor experience.
- You will be managing the Kitchen and taking responsibility for the food that leaves our kitchen and kiosks, cooking our seasonal menus and ensuring everyone in the team adheres to safety regulations and food safety management system.
- By positively leading the team, you will be training and developing staff members to ensure required standards are met.
- While completing staff rotas, stock ordering and wastage controls you will optimise financial performance in line with our budgets to increase profitability.
- You will also be responsible for ensuring that your team engage with the WWT's sustainability practices and interact with our visitors with the highest levels of customer service.
This is a full time permanent position working 37.5 hours a week, 5 days out of 7. This will include weekend working and bank holidays.
About You
To join as our Kitchen Manager you'll have:
- Significant experience of managing a high volume, fast paced commercial kitchen.
- Proven experience in managing budgets and financial controls such as cost margins.
- Experience of managing FSMS.
- Experience of menu planning, ordering, and food presentation.
- Confidence in training, motivating, and engaging with your team.
