FRONT OF HOUSE/SHOP MANAGER NATURE IN ART
Twigworth, Gloucester
This job is at Nature in Art, the worlds first museum dedicated exclusively to art inspired by nature. Housed in a fine Georgian mansion, on the main A38 at Twigworth just north of Gloucester, Nature in Art is a charity run and award winning museum and art gallery.
We are seeking someone to manage of our front of house and gift shop.
The main functions of the shop manager are to:
• Be a welcome to all visitors and encourage staff to be the same
• Handle face to face enquiries about any aspect of museum and direct to appropriate person if necessary
• Manage staff and volunteer team on shop/front of house
• Agree rotas with staff and volunteers to ensure sufficient cover
• Manage/select product choices and displays in line with exhibitions/season etc.
• Manage buying patterns to maintain cash flow and profit margins
• Liaise with admin staff who handle invoices etc.
Some experience in this area of work and/or an interest in art and nature would be an advantage but not absolutely necessary.

Salary: £13.25 per hour with review in April 2025
Hours Per Week: Flexible. Average of 3-4 days a week including some weekend days
