Our school site has 14 classes as well as an on-site nursery; in total, we cater for approximately 480 children aged between 2.5 and 11 years. We are looking for a MDSA’s who is friendly, dedicated and enthusiastic to join our friendly team. You will be required to secure the safety and welfare of pupils during the midday break, providing pupils with lunchtime support and helping to develop play/sports opportunities. This position is for 8.75 hours per week working across the school from Reception to Year 6, Monday to Friday, between the hours of 11.50am to 1.35pm daily.

We seek someone who has:
•Effective communication skills.
•Ability to supervise and organise pupils.
•Ability to promote calm and reassuring behaviour, and personal control to pupils.
•Flexible approach.
•Passion for working with children (experience preferred).
•An interest in games and sports
•Knowledge of basic Health and Safety and First Aid (preferred).

You will be responsible for:
•The health and safety of children at lunchtimes
•Promoting positive behaviour, relationships and enhancing the children's wellbeing
•Delivering games, sports
•Encouraging good manner and supporting social skills
•Supporting children's play during lunchtime
•Preparing and keeping the classroom/hall clean and tidy.
