Pillowell Primary School is a small, community-oriented primary school located in the beautiful Forest of Dean. As part of a Federation with Blakeney and Walmore Hill Schools, we work collaboratively to provide a nurturing and inclusive environment where staff and children thrive together. Our school prides itself on being a safe haven where children feel supported and encouraged to reach their full potential.
5 mornings 8.30am -12.00pm Possiblity of hours being extended if funding received for the child.
The Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our team at Pillowell School. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a close-knit community and contribute to shaping the early years experience of our pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide 1:1 support for a SEND child, ensuring their individual needs are met and they
are fully included in all learning activities
• Assist teaching staff in setting up the EYFS classroom for lessons and continuous
provision
• Contribute to the planning and delivery of engaging and age-appropriate learning
experiences
• Support children's social, emotional, and academic development
• Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with parents and colleagues
Qualifications and Experience:
• Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum
• Good understanding of child development in the early years
• Experience working with children in an educational setting
Desirable Qualities:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff
• Proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving
• Commitment to continuous professional development
