Laboratory Technician
Severnside - Stonehouse, GL10 2DG
Permanent role
4 on 4 off shift pattern: 2 day shifts (7am-7pm), 2 night shifts (7pm - 7am), 4 off and repeat.
£31,407.35 base salary (£15 per hour, plus varying overtime rates)
We are currently looking to recruit a Lab Technician to join our Severnside Dairy within our M ller Milk & Ingredients business. The successful person will enable the Dairy with assuring quality performance through analysis, subject knowledge and testing performance whilst striving to continuously improve in line with the M ller values.
Laboratory Technician key tasks:
- Provide expertise through quality based testing and data evaluation
- Demonstrate active involvement in solving problems / trouble shooting through data analysis and evaluation
- Play an active part in building QMS capability across site
- Responsible for laboratory tasks and management systems (5S etc)
- Support and process confirms operations quality control responsibilities
- Have a good understanding and play an active part within the performance management system (PMS)
- Provide governance and ownership of Quality Index and other monthly reports
- Responsible for internal and external audit processes
- HACCP Awareness (Level 2-3)
- Basic Food Hygiene
- Microbiology and aseptic techniques
- Internal Audit
- Yellow and Green belt problem solving
- A3 problem solving
