About The Role
Join Our Team as a Laboratory Technician
 
The Technical Department at Cotteswold Dairy is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills to train as a Laboratory Technician. This role is ideal for someone with experience in a lab or food production setting, who values accuracy and precision in a fast-paced environment.

 
Summary
Days worked: Monday - Sunday on a five day rotating basis
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Shift Times: Weekday shifts rotate between start times of 05:30, 06:00, 07:00 & 12:00; Saturday at 08:00, Sunday at 06:00

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct sampling and microbiological testing of products to maintain quality control.
- Analyze and interpret results, detecting any irregularities to ensure compliance with company and legislative standards.
- Keep laboratory areas organized, adhering to all COSHH, Health & Safety, and Food Safety protocols.

Important Note: Due to food hygiene regulations only one solid wedding band is permitted.
 
Ideal Candidate Skills

- A strong communicator who builds effective working relationships
- Previous experience maintaining high hygiene standards
- GCSE (grade B or above) in Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics, or a relevant qualification in Biological Sciences

Desirable Skills

- Previous laboratory experience in the dairy or food industry.  
- Knowledge of microbiology, food hygiene, and quality control standards.
