Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages - Maternity Cover
Churchdown
This is a wonderful opportunity for an exceptional modern linguist. The Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) faculty is thriving and we offer French, Spanish and German to A Level. Applications are welcome from candidates who can offer any combination of these languages. The faculty also supports our EAL students, and we would welcome applications from candidates with experience or interest in this area. Please state clearly in your application letter which languages you can offer and to what level.

- MFL

NQTs and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply. This post is initially a temporary contract to cover a maternity leave. Although we are looking for a full-time colleague, we will also consider applications from candidates wishing to work part time or job share.
Chosen Hill School is a thriving comprehensive academy, judged good by Ofsted in all categories. It is a large, popular and successful 11-18 Academy School situated in Churchdown halfway between Cheltenham and Gloucester. We have around 1300 students on roll, of which 200 are in the Sixth Form. Chosen Hill School is a happy school, where students, staff and parents work closely in partnership.

It is an exciting time to join the MFL faculty at Chosen Hill School. The faculty has an innovative and forward-looking approach and have been implementing an exciting and very successful new ‘knowledge based’ pedagogy in KS3, influenced by renowned modern foreign linguists such as Gianfranco Conti and Barry Smith. Recruitment at GCSE and A-Level is strong and there are lots of opportunities for our students and staff to participate in visits abroad and MFL extra-curricular activities such as our Italian Club, theatre and film visits andfood tasting events to name but a few!
