KS3/4 Teacher of Science -
Gloucester

We need a KS3/4 Teacher of Science to join our expanding team.

Edward Jenner School is a small independent school founded by Manda and Phil Brookes in 2013.
We are a unique, high quality, small-scale school for children and young people aged between 5 and 16. We are academically mainstream, working towards public examinations and portfolio qualifications. We expect a high standard of behaviour and learning, we support our CYP’s to meet those expectations. Situated in the heart of Gloucester we have fantastic premises, including a lab in the old kitchen of our Georgian Villa. We also have a large garden area with outside space for teaching and learning, physical activities and social time.

Our curriculum develops excellent academic standards. Each CYP follows their own personalised learning programme designed specifically for them to maximise progress. We plan for individuals and enjoy developing interesting work schemes and learning programmes.
About you
The successful candidate will be an inspiring teacher specialising in KS3/4 Science. You will be flexible enough to work across other area of learning within the EJS school curriculum as needed, playing to your strengths. You will be passionate about developing learning opportunities for individuals.
Motivated, adapting your approaches and resources to a meet a range of abilities and needs, allowing our young people to enjoy and achieve. We would need you to bring energy and kindness to school each day, our young people have often not had the opportunity to thrive in their previous schools.
Our school is flexible with regards to the hours you would like to work and we are happy to consider part time, including reduced hours and the beginning and end of day to support child care needs. Families are important to us.

Qualifications and training
Essential:
- Degree and Teaching Qualification
- Minimum C grade GCSE in Maths and English
