Hays is working with a secondary school in Melksham recruiting for a Maths Teacher for a long-term supply role. The school serves students from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5, offering a comprehensive and engaging curriculum.
Your new role
As a Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons to students across various key stages. This long-term supply role will require you to integrate into the school's curriculum and teaching methods. Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, delivering high-quality instruction, and assessing student progress. You will also be expected to contribute to the department's extracurricular activities and support the overall development of students.
What you'll need to succeed
- Qualified Teacher Status & PGCE or an accepted UK equivalent - ECTs & NQTs are welcome to apply
- Experience teaching maths at KS3 and KS4 - experience with KS5 is advantageous.
- A passion for working with young people and teaching them
- Ability to manage behaviour and classrooms to create positive learning environments
- Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Hays
- At least 40 days of UK experience working with students or young people
- The right to work in the UK
- Commitment to promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school
