Teacher of English and Drama

Based at - Marling School

We are looking for a Teacher of English and Drama to join our talented and supportive team at Marling School. We are a thriving Multi-Academy Trust with a strong collective identity working together to generate and celebrate success within our communities. Start Date – September 2024

We wish to appoint a dynamic and inspirational Teacher of English and Drama who will have the desire to assist our Head of English and Drama in taking the department on to even greater success.
English is a popular and successful subject within the school, with numbers for A Level English Literature being consistently high. The school also offers Drama at both GCSE and A Level. Applications from Drama specialists would therefore be welcome.

The successful candidate will:

• Have a passion for teaching English and the ability to inspire both staff and students.
• Have the ability to teach English at Key Stage 3 and 4.
• Have experience of teaching Drama at GCSE.
• Have a desire to teach Drama at A Level
• Insist on a commitment from all young people to achieve success; and will have the ability to motivate students with a focus on maximising attainment.
• Have outstanding subject knowledge and an awareness of current developments in English & Drama.
